I have been distro and desktop/window manager hopping for basically all my life. During the past years, I almost always had Debian installed on my internal ssd next to windows, but mostly I used something else running on an external drive.
During the past 6 months or so, since the release of Debian bookworm, I had Debian with KDE Plasma on the internal ssd and I mostly actually used it, because I was kind of lazy to install/try something new. And I think I finally found my desktop environment. i think i am in love with KDE Plasma. And not only Plasma, but also Digikam and other KDE apps...
They make software that looks good and is even better to use, has great features and is not too nerdy. So I love KDE even though in general I like nerdy software. It's simply well made and I hope that one day much more normal users (one part of today's windows and mac users) will use KDE Plasma.
